The Good Durge Act II scene changes that viewpoint pretty quickly. You are not obligated to have an evil run, you can do a good one as well. And that's with ultimately going the good-aligned route and not pursuing the KW/evil route. This has probably been covered in an earlier post, butif you are playing a "redeemed" Durge that's resisting Bhaal, and you want to get a positive ending, you must defeat Orin in the 1v1 fight without dying AND and with no assistance from your party members. I would recommend not planning ahead, but feeling out your character and their roleplay tendencies before coming to a decision. Is it a good idea to romance Gale as evil durge? General Questions - [SPOILERS] So in my previous evil playthrough I romanced Astarion which was very fun because he has a great dynamic with durge. That stops any chance of getting good ending because it overrides it. Whenever this question comes up, I'll always suggest Paladin. Romancing him as Tav feels bland Romance with Shadowheart: good or evil run? comments. Thanks Good Durge is not only viable but also very rewarding and, imo, a much more interesting story than Tav's (Tav is great but sometimes it feels like the story is happening around them and they're just being carried along in it like a leaf in the wind). or is overall too evil, so her romance is best for a redeemed Durge. r/BaldursGate3. Baldur's Gate III is based on a modified version of the Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition (D&D 5e) tabletop RPG ruleset. I am currently playing as a good Durge trying to resist the evil within and whatnot. Any help is appreciated I mean I get why he's not an option for the Durge romance scene, since you can't even romance him until act 3. Yeah, good durge shadowheart romance is my favourite in the game. For those curious to know, a good guy Tav with Minthara romance actually felt better than Durge believe it or not. I learned about the one where a redeemed durge is killed by Bhaal through ultra bloodletting and is then brought back by withers (shoutout to him). I'm really interested in gale and Lae'zel, willing to try out most of the others (except wyll. My Durge is skill-based bard and so a bit squishy to the slayer, so I tried blinking and going To be clear, this moment can also be horrific if you want to play it that way (such is the dichotomy of the durge playthrough), but if approached a certain way, it’s probably one of the single best companion moments of the game. I felt like my evil Durge would be way too arrogant and proud to ever tolerate being thought of as lesser when they’re the Chosen of a The timing of the act 2 "you must murder your beloved" is so good. Bhaal is Sarevok's dad and Helena's grandfather. After 550 hours and 3 good runs (one of which was a Redemption Durge) i decided to go for an Evil run as Dark Uge. But for the other ones, if you give into any at all (except the two. while Astarion is the only one that’ll straight up approve of the fucked up shit you will be doing as Durge, Astarion’s romance ends up being one of the sweeter, more wholesome ones out there, unless you want to Durge is directly created by Bhaal. Made the romance scenes a little uncomfortable, but I just skip through those anyway because I've seen them all by now. I want to romance Karlach but just found out that your Durge Tav was a leader of the cult and was working with Gortash and what not. I’m in act 2 of my durge run and had romance scenes with both Astarion and Shadowheart in act 1. Dark Urge OK, so I thought it would be a great idea to romance Gale as a Durge and have his goody-two-shoes ways influence Durge to be nice. Im very new to the game (only 12 hours in/level 4) and accidentally got into a relationship with Lae'zel, though I originally was curious about Gale. Get ready to spend lots of oathbreaking money though. New Karlach, very similarly to Wyll, requires a good-aligned character in order to pursue a romance. He's the folk hero type, and my redemption Durge wants to be a good person so Minthara. i really love wyll and i want to romance him but i'm thinking twice about doing so if his romance doesn't have much to Who do ya'll think will ultimately prove to be the best romance options for Dark Urges- whether they're fighting that darkness or giving into to it- and why? But when I woke up, it appeared my durge didn't have a good time at all? Reply reply Top 1% Rank by size . I had guessed the devs wanted to make Durge's default class a Paladin before they had that interview because if how many times in Durge's story it is commented you are an Oathbraker paladin LOL Minthara's romance scene was lacking, but subsequent patches added more content for her. Dark Urge is an origin that players can choose when building their character. I romanced Astarion as Durge, and it's perfect - he expresses often how he understands the draw of Good Durge is the best way to play this game, period. Ascended Astarion feels like he vibes better with a full evil playthrough or an embrace durge. Didn’t regret it. Problem is I don't want to get too spoiled about my other durge run in case I I’m doing a Resist Durge, Astarion, hirelings, Halsin run. Now I'm thinking about romancing Gale for a change because he seems pretty interesting as a character. The only people that have were people playing as good Durge. Are karlach or Evil Durge is fun, but Good Durge is more rewarding, especially emotionally. That being said, I personally prefer the way she is with a good aligned Durge instead of a Tav. § ©U”X àÁÐm)Zåzz¬ëQ(@ d²Eƒ! At the climactic Durge finale Karlach was "very fucking proud of you, soldier" while Shadowheart had NO REACTION AT ALL. You can get a lot of approval at the goblin camp if you’re still low when you get there. Probably. I mean, I think Astarion is the optimal durge romance - both for the redemption runs (with spawn) and the For an embrace Durge Minthara is a good shout, as she'll completely have your back. . Last edited by ReoHays; Jul 24 @ 4:54pm #7. You only get the romance dialogue for Tav or Redemption Durge if you destroy the brain. I’ve heard astarion and durge is awesome, but is it so different from a normal custom Tav romance? You absolutely can romance Astarion as a resisting Urge, and have a good ending. I don't know whether to do that as part of my Durge run or save it for the run after. A community all about Baldur's Honestly, I've saved Minthara on my current good Durge run and it's apparent that she was never meant to join good playthroughs and is just there because people insisted. They are both very romantic which compliments his bitter and disillusioned nature. But as my evil Durge, Astarion is already crushing on me and I see the appeal now. With Jaheira and Minsc in Act 3 so my epilogue isn’t dead and I have time to actually do side quests (Dribbles, the paper, Minsc’s stuff with the guild). In good Durge you get more content with all romance options but I enjoyed the way Durge interacts with Shadowheart and Astarion specifically. You could always romance Astarion for an evil Durge run and save Gale for the good Durge one. She glitches, has barely anything to say, hardly anybody i've started my evil durge run and planned on romancing minthara because she is soooo cool and beautiful, however after reading up i found that many found her route lackluster and shallow? i am aware of the consequences of sacking the grove and i plan on doing it anyways. Ironically im still battling the decision so i really need to know because i want to do a god gale run and a durge run at the same time. My Dark Urge romanced Minthy. I am debating between doing my durge one first or my So what do you guys think is the best romance for good durge (or just best romance overall) ? I've heard that astarion has a lot of extra stuff but I've already romanced him as tav so unless it's really a game changer I'd rather not go for the same twice. When the urge happened again but WITH my romantic companion, that was a very unexpected ¥ÿÿW1ŽHWKo U Ø8¨¼ o@õ ƒ;ª €t U âî°Wů?þúç¿ C`pLà?0426153·°´²¶±µ³wptrvqus÷ðôòöñõãן ÿﯬúÿúùº/òù¤IK²tµB The Durge romance is also kind of broken if Durge loses to Orin. It's so incredibly forced, as most of the brief snippits of ending we get are. But it only really changes the romance in one scene during act 2, unless you roll poorly during that one scene and then it will effect the rest of the game. I've heard certain characters are better than others for durge romance (not arsed about the gender of romance). With the exception of the Drow Twins (hireable brothel companions available for your pleasure), Naoise Nallinto is probably the quickest romance option in Baldur’s Gate 3 Good Ending: You defeated Orin in the duel, you were given the choice to accept or reject Bhaal's offer and rejected it, and you killed the brain. People often say it doesn't fit with Durge's pre-amnesia backstory but, if you pick Oath of Vengeance, you can head-canon that they swore their Oath upon awakening with an aim to take down whoever put them there. Still just my opinion Romance for a good durge Duergar? General Discussion - [NO SPOILERS] I'm doing a semi-good (as in I resist most of the time but I let him slip sometimes for the RP) durge run and my main party is Lae'zel, Shart, and Astarion right now. I guess it depends on why your character is evil. To be specific At Bhaal's temple becoming Bhaal's champion pretty much locks you into the madness, suicide or absolute ending. It left such a bad taste in my mouth. A As for who you should romance: I'd say either Lae'zel or Astarion. Otherwise Durge is almost certainly gonna end up killing Astarion lol. I think asterion(I know you said no homo) and shadowheart are the best for bot evil and redemption durge . Open comment sort options. Is it worth persisting? The romance in Act 2 and 3 is a separate arc from the potential night of passion in Act 1. And a 3rd for favor. He gets extra durge content the other companions don't. I love her as a companion, not just a romance option but nonetheless. A second for flavor. Afaik, the writer for Astarion and the Dark Urge specific parts is the same and the two have some very fitting vibes doing a romance. I started a redeemed Durge before and romanced Gale, but I got locked out of the romance progression because of a bug and it was down to either replaying 20 hours worth of content or just starting a new run. As players guide their Durge—a custom Drow I would call Resist Durge, Astarion's best romance and his added dialog the strongest in the game for a resist Durge. Karlach and Minthara were way more fulfilling, and ofc I hear Astarion has a ton of unique stuff specifically for Durge romance. All throughout my first I was thinking I'd go for Karlach romance but oh man does the good durge astarion romance seem fun. is a tedious process but you can do it currenltly without any single problem. I love them together so much.
